Training and mentoring of team members
From day one, new team members are allocated to a ‘buddy’ who assists them in finding their way around the Veale Partners’ environment.  The Partners operate on an ‘open-door’ policy.

Technology Training
New team members go through a comprehensive orientation program that familiarises them with Veale Partners methods, frameworks, systems and procedures.

Continuing Professional Development
Monthly “professional development” sessions are held in house to cover recent accounting, taxation, economic and business developments. Team members are encouraged to attend professional development seminars throughout the year based on their interests and needs within the firm.  All team members are encouraged to complete more than the required 120 PD hours per triennium.  Veale Partners offers assistance with study costs and time.

Formal Performance Review Process
All Veale Partners team members undergo a formal review at least annually.  Reviews are not only a time when team members are formally assessed, but also a time to discuss goals and future objectives for each team member within the Veale Partners framework.

Community Involvement
At the communal level, the firm encourages team members to become involved and contribute back into the community.  The firm supports the Anti-Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea, Jeans for Genes, Variety Christmas Club and other management and team initiated ideas.

training and study leave

Veale Partners has a policy of recruiting graduates and giving them a "one on one" training program, whereby the new recruit’s exposure to client work and the close working relationship with other senior team members ensures a steep, but very effective, learning curve.

All professional team members attend professional development conferences throughout the year based on their interests and needs within the firm.

Financial Advisers, Insurance Brokers and other specialist professionals visit for in house and client workshops.

Veale Partners has a commitment to the professional development of our Graduates.  To encourage and promote them along their career path, CPA/CA Program course fees are reimbursed upon commencement of the program and paid study leave days are given to assist with the demands of the course. There is a requirement however that the team member continues in employment with the practice for a period of one year after completion of the course or repay the cost of tuition, plus study leave days if he/she leaves prior to the one year period. 

The firm’s requirements in this regard are as follows:
-     The 12 months begins at the time the employee enrols for each module

Additional incentives for team members undertaking CPA/CA studies include the choice of:

Team members are encouraged to involve themselves with a network study group and may be given time to attend discussions/meetings.

Team members are encouraged to use paid annual leave for their study requirements.
